CARACALLA, Nikaia Bithyniα c 197 - 217

Caracalla (188 – 217) was the eldest son of Septimius Severus and his successor as roman emperor from 211 to 217. Although his birth name was Lucius Septimius Bassianus he was known as "Caracalla" after the Gallic cloak he wore. He was a cruel Roman emperor even having his brother Geta put to death. He enjoyed travelling the empire.
